2 Comments:
The staff of the imaging department at shotley bridge were informed about the closure via a letter from John Saxby, and find it worrying that such a letter exists? Is he backtracking? and how could a decision be made before completion of the survey which is to be carried out regarding the viability of the hospital?
We can only repeat, that the imaging department at Shotley is not closing, and any suggestion that it should has not come from the Chief Executive. Like other departments, radiology has proposed efficiency savings for the next financial year. Their proposals have been given the go ahead on the basis of providing more efficient services - but certainly not withdrawing them from community sites."
